Years 7-9

Our pupils are now beginning the transition into a more specialised curriculum in which pupils are taught by subject specialist across the six Areas of Learning (Languages and Literacy, Humanities, Health and Wellbeing, Mathematics & Numeracy, Science and Technology and Expressive Arts) whilst also focussing on digital competency, numeracy and literacy skills across the curriculum. Pupils study humanities in more depth, are introduced to a Modern Foreign Language and have access to specialist learning environments for Science, Creative Design and Sport.

Our focus, as always, is on challenging pupils and to ensure that tasks and materials are appropriate for all leaners: everything we do as a school is to  encourage pupils towards becoming ambitious, capable learners; enterprising, creative contributors; ethical, informed citizens and healthy, confident individuals. We encourage creativity and enthusiasm for learning whilst developing resilience, self-belief and a responsibility for their own learning.
